I love this! While we left our ceremony to the traditional wedding music, we did our going-away walk to our college's fight song. It was definitely cool to walk out and hear our friends and family singing the fight song along with us!

Stopping by from the D-list!

LOVE it! Such a fun memory for you two! My sister tried to talk me out of my processional choice because she "couldn't walk to it." It was These are the Days by 10,000 Maniacs. But the song had meaning for me, so I stuck with it. Our recessional was Smashmouth's I'm a Believer from Shrek. And we got introduced to the theme song from Magnum, P.I. - my husband's favorite show ever!

I wanted to get married in Vegas, too. Preferably by Elvis, but my husband thought it would be tacky. Boo.

I think that's so great that you guys made it your own with your music, even if it isn't the "expected" songs for a wedding.

Lovely! Since I'm a happy resident of SF, my heart is warmed to learn that you got married here. Great photo and I've always loved the song.

Your photo put a huge smile on my face, which I kept through your whole post. And that song? So much corny goodness. I love it! And your expression in the picture? You just radiate joy and a great big YES! Thanks for this great post!

That photo is incredible in itself, and your memories about the moments leading up to the wedding and the decision making made it all the better :)

Congratulations! I remember my wedding and it was such a magical day....full of alcohol and .... love your blog! Hopefully you are on some great honeymoon! Jilly

That is great song! I love it. Brings back so many memories. I love the pic and yes to your celebration!

Seriously? It would have been AWESOME if you'd have walked down the aisle after the ceremony to Hunka Hunka Burnin' Love! If I were in the audience I woulda lost it! OMG. Hysterical.

Alas, I think your CELEBRATION song stands out for BOTH of you as a happy memory. And that's what counts!
